SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Install the driver side knee airbag with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL Installation

5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH FRONT Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER Installation

9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Installation

10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

12. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
