Removal And Installation




FLUID COOLER SYSTEM

VK56VD (AWD) : Removal and Installation


REMOVAL

1.Shift the selector lever to "N" position, and release the parking brake.
2.Remove air duct (inlet). Exploded View.
3.Remove engine under cover with a power tool. Floor Side Fairing.
4.Remove A/T fluid cooler hose A and A/T fluid cooler hose B.





5.Disconnect heated oxygen sensor 2 connectors (A).





6.Remove heated oxygen sensor 2 harness (B) from clips (1).
7.Remove bracket (2) from A/T assembly. Exploded View.
8.Remove propeller shaft assembly (front). Exploded View.
9.Remove front drive shaft (left side). Front Drive Shaft.
10.Remove A/T fluid cooler tube mounting bolts.
NOTE:
Cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.
11.Remove the clips and bands fixing two A/T fluid cooler tubes.
12.Remove the A/T fluid cooler tubes one at a time from the vehicle.

CAUTION:
Be careful not to bend A/T fluid cooler tubes.

INSTALLATION

Note the following, and Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
Never reuse copper washer.
- Refer to the following when installing A/T fluid cooler hoses.










- The illustrations indicate the view from the hose ends.





- When installing hose clamps center line of each hose clamp tab should be positioned as shown in the figure.
- Insert fluid cooler hose according to dimension "L" described below.















- Set hose clamps (1) at the both ends of A/T fluid cooler hoses (2)
with dimension "A" from the hose edge.





- Hose clamp should not interfere with the bulge of fluid cooler tube.
