FLUID COOLER SYSTEM


VK56VD (2WD) : Removal and Installation


REMOVAL
1. Remove air duct (inlet). Exploded View.
2. Remove engine under cover and engine under cover rear with a power tool. Floor Side Fairing Service and Repair, "Exploded
View".
3. Remove A/T fluid cooler hose A and A/T fluid cooler hose B.
4. Remove exhaust mounting bracket with power tool. .





5. Disconnect heated oxygen sensor 2 connectors (A).

White Arrow :Vehicle Front
Black Arrow :Bolt

6. Remove heated oxygen sensor 2 harness (B) from clips (1).
7. Remove bracket (2) from A/T assembly. Exploded View Removal And Installation, "VK56VD (2WD) : Exploded View".
8. Remove the A/T fluid cooler tube mounting bolts.

NOTE:
Cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.
9. Remove the clips and bands fixing two A/T fluid cooler tubes.
10. Remove the A/T fluid cooler tubes one at a time from the vehicle.

CAUTION:
Be careful not to bend A/T fluid cooler tubes.

INSTALLATION
Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
Never reuse copper washers.
- Refer to the following when installing A/T fluid cooler hoses.










- The illustrations indicate the view from the hose ends.

Arrow D : Vehicle front
Arrow E : Vehicle upper

- When installing hose clamps center line of each hose clamp tab should be positioned as shown in the figure.
- Insert A/T fluid cooler hoses according to dimension "L" described below.















- Set hose clamps (1) at the both ends of A/T fluid cooler hoses (2) with dimension "A" from the hose edge.

Dimension "A" : 5 - 9 mm (0.20 - 0.35 in)

- Hose clamp should not interfere with the bulge of fluid cooler tube.
