TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR SYMPTOMS


Engine Cannot Be Started in "P" or "N" Position


SYMPTOM:
- Engine cannot be started with selector lever in "P" or "N" position.
- Engine can be started with selector lever in "D"or "R" position.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1.CHECK TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH CIRCUIT
With CONSULT-III
- Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" in "TRANSMISSION".
Without CONSULT-III
- Perform the self-diagnosis. Diagnosis Procedure Without CONSULT-III.
Do the self-diagnostic results indicate transmission range switch?
YES - Check malfunctioning system. 5AT RE5R05A 5AT RE5R05A 5AT RE5R05A 5AT RE5R05A 5AT RE5R05A.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK A/T POSITION
Check A/T position. Testing and Inspection.
OK or NG
OK - GO TO 3.
NG - Adjust A/T position. Adjustments.
3.CHECK STARTING SYSTEM
Check starting system. Description and Operation.
OK or NG
OK - INSPECTION END
NG - Repair or replace damaged parts.
