Collision Diagnosis

SRS Inspection

To repair the SRS, perform the following steps.
When SRS is activated in a collision:
1 Replace the diagnosis sensor unit.
2 Remove the air bag modules.
3 Check the SRS components using the table shown below:
- Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage (dents, cracks, deformation).
4 Conduct self-diagnosis.
Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Ensure the remainder of the SRS is operating properly.
5 Install new air bag modules.
6 Conduct self-diagnosis again.

When SRS is not activated in a collision:
1 Check the SRS components using the table shown below:
- Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage (dents, cracks, deformation).
2 Conduct self-diagnosis using CONSULT and "AIR BAG" warning lamp.
Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Ensure entire SRS operates properly.
