Luggage Carrier Side Rear Rail Cap Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the clear clearance lamp. Refer to Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUV) (Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUV))Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Front) (Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Front))Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Rear) (Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Rear)).
2. If equipped with a luggage carrier cross car rail, loosen the lock knobs and slide the rails forward.
3. Remove the rear luggage rail screw.




4. Remove the rear end cap screw.
5. Disengage the rear end cap from the rear luggage rail.




6. Remove the side rail end cap from the roof panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the side rail end cap to the roof panel.
2. Lock the forward edge of the end cap into the luggage carrier rail.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the luggage rail screw to the end cap side rail.

Tighten the screw to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the rear end cap screw.

Tighten the end cap screw to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

5. If equipped with a luggage carrier cross rail, reposition and secure the lock knobs.




6. Install the clear clearance lamp. Refer to Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUV) (Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUV))Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Front) (Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Front))Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Rear) (Clearance Lamp Replacement (SUT Rear)).
