Engine Oil Pan Removal

1. If the engine is already out of the vehicle, go to step 7.

2. Remove the splash shield Splash Shield Replacement.

3. Drain the engine oil Service and Repair.

4. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.

5. Remove the A/C compressor without disconnecting the A/C hoses.

6. Remove the torque rod Engine Assembly Torque Rod Replacement.

7. Remove the dipstick, then remove the dipstick tube.






8. Remove the CKP sensor cover (A), then disconnect the CKP sensor connector (B).






9. CVT model: Remove the driveshaft heat shield.






10. Remove the torque rod bracket Engine Assembly Torque Rod Bracket Replacement.

11. Remove the transmission mounting bolts.






12. Remove the oil pan bolts.

13. Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the engine block in the places shown.






14. Remove the oil pan.

NOTE: Lower the oil pan carefully so as not to damage the IMA motor (resolver stator).
