Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair




EVAP Canister Replacement

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.

2. Remove the cover (A).






3. Remove the EVAP canister guard pipe (A).






4. Remove the hoses (A), the FTP sensor connector (B), the EVAP canister vent shut valve connector (C), and the bolts (D).





5. Remove the EVAP canister.

6. Remove the cap (A).





7. Remove the EVAP canister vent shut valve (B).

8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with new O-rings (C) and a new cap.

NOTE: Do not coat the O-rings with engine oil.
