Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.
2. Remove the front seat belt buckle Front Seat Belt Replacement.
3. Driver's seat: Pull back the cap (A) to release the hooks (B), and remove the screws, then remove the height adjuster handle (C).
4. Remove the recline cover (A).
1. Remove the recline knob (B) and the screw.
2. Gently pull out the cover, then detach the clip, and release the hooks (C).

5. Release the tabs (A) and detach the clip, then remove the center cover (B). The driver's seat is shown; the passenger's seat is similar.
6. If equipped, disconnect the seat heater connector(s) (A) and the side airbag connector (B) from under the seat cushion.

7. Release the hooks (C) from the seat cushion frame spring (D). Remove the wire tie(s) (E), and pull the side airbag harness (F) and seat-back heater harness (G) (driver's seat) out through the slits (H) in the seat cushion cover (I). Turn over the seat cushion cover, and release the hooks (J).
8. Pull out the side airbag harness (A) through the loop (B).
9. Release the hook strips (A, B) from the seat frame (C).

10. Release the hook strip (A) from under the seat cushion.
11. Remove the seat cushion cover/pad (A) from the seat cushion frame (B).
12. Release the hooks (A) fastening the seat cushion cover (B) on the seat cushion pad.
13. Pull back the edge of the seat cushion cover (A) all the way around, and release the clips (B), then remove the cover.
14. Install the seat cushion cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat cushion cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the clips, the hooks, and the hook strips.
- Replace any clips (A) you removed with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
