Water Pump: Testing and Inspection

Water Pump Inspection

1. Remove the front undercover and the splash shield. Engine Removal

2. Remove the drive belt. Service and Repair

3. Remove the auto-tensioner. Service and Repair

4. Turn the water pump pulley counterclockwise. Check that it turns freely.If it does not turn smoothly, replace the water pump. Service and Repair
NOTE: When you check the water pump, you may see a small amount of "weeping" from the bleed holes (A). This is normal.

5. Install the auto-tensioner. Service and Repair

6. Install the drive belt. Service and Repair

7. Install the splash shield and the front undercover. Engine Installation
