Engine Oil Pan Removal




Engine Oil Pan Removal

1. Drain the engine oil. Service and Repair

2. If the engine is already out of the vehicle, go to step 18.

3. Remove the steering wheel, Steering Wheel Removal then remove the steering joint bolt. Engine Removal

4. Remove the front wheels.

5. Remove the front undercover and the splash shield. Engine Removal

6. Remove the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly. Service and Repair

7. Disconnect the A/C compressor clutch connector, then remove the A/C compressor. Engine Removal

8. Remove the intake manifold bracket and the harness clamp. Service and Repair

9. Remove the under-floor three way catalytic converter (TWC). Engine Removal

10. Disconnect the front stabilizer links. Front Stabilizer Link Removal/Installation

11. Disconnect the suspension lower arm ball joints. Lower Ball Joint Replacement

12. Disconnect the steering gearbox harness connectors. Engine Removal

13. Attach the universal lifting eyelet, Engine Removal and the engine support hanger. Engine Removal

14. Remove the lower torque rod mounting bolts. Engine Removal

15. Make the appropriate reference line at the both side front subframe that line up with the edge on the body. Engine Removal

16. Loosen the mid stiffener mounting bolts. Engine Removal

17. Using the front subframe adapter, Engine Removal then remove the front subframe. Engine Removal

18. Remove the harness clamps (A) and the mounting bolt (B), then remove the dipstick tube (C).






19. Remove the lower torque rod bracket mounting bolts.






20. Remove the two bolts securing the transmission.

21. Remove the bolts securing the oil pan.






22. Insert a flat blade screwdriver where shown, and separate the oil pan from the engine block.

23. Remove the oil pan.
NOTE: Lower the oil pan carefully not to damage the IMA motor (resolver stator).
