DTC P1570 (66): Battery Module Individual Voltage Problem
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P1570 (66) in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Does the screen indicate FAILED?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - If the screen indicates PASSED, go to step 3. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, go to step 1 and recheck.

3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Check the IMA BATTERY MODULE 1 VOLTAGE through IMA BATTERY MODULE 11 VOLTAGE in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
Is there more than 15 V on at least one?
YES - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the battery module and the BCM module.
NO - Go to step 5.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Turn the battery module switch OFF.
7. Remove the IPU lid.
8. Check the terminal connections at BCM module connector B (14P).
Is the connection OK?
YES - Go to step 9.
NO - Repair connections, then go to step 10.

9. Disconnect BCM module connector B (14P).
10. Measure voltage between these BCM module connector terminals:
^ B6 and B14
^ B14 and B9
^ B9 and B8
^ B8 and B4
^ B4 and B12
^ B11 and B7
^ B7 and B1
^ 131 and B8
^ B8 and B2
^ B2 and B9
^ B9 and B3





Are all measurements about 7.0 V or higher?
YES - Go to step 18.
NO - Replace the battery module, then go to step 11.

11. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
12. Reconnect all connectors.
13. Reinstall the IPU lid, then turn the battery module switch ON.
14. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
15. Reset the BCM module with the HDS.
16. Check for IMA system Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
YES - If DTC P1570 (66) is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the battery module and the BCM module, then go to step 1. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
NO - Go to step 17.

17. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P1570 (66) in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Does the screen indicate PASSED?
YES - Troubleshooting is complete.
NO - If the screen indicates FAILED, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the battery module and the BCM module, then go to step 1. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, turn the ignition switch ON (II) until a result comes on.

18. Reinstall the IPU lid, then turn the battery module switch ON.
19. Update the BCM module if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good BCM module.
20. Check for IMA system Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P1570 (66) indicated?
YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the battery module and the BCM module. If the BCM module was updated, substitute a known-good BCM module, then recheck. If the BCM module was substituted, go to step 1.
NO - If no Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to step 21. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

21. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P1570 (66) in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Does the screen indicate PASSED?
YES - If the BCM module was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the BCM module was substituted, replace the original BCM module.
NO - If the screen indicates FAILED, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the battery module and the BCM module, then go to step 1. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, go to step 1 and recheck.
