DTC 44

DTC 44: Partial Brake Pedal Stroke Sensor Malfunction
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (Ill.
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
3. With the ignition switch ON (II), press the brake pedal several times.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 44, 45, or 46 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the servo unit.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Replace the brake pedal stroke sensor.
7. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
8. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
9. With the ignition switch ON (II), press the brake pedal several times.
10. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 44, 45, or 46 indicated?
YES - Replace the servo unit.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the brake pedal stroke sensor and the servo unit.
