DTC P1574 (68): Battery Module Temperature Signal Circuit Problem
1. Reset the MCM.
2. Start the engine.
Is DTC P 1574 indicated?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the battery module and at the MCM.
3. Raise the engine speed to 4,000 rpm to charge the IMA battery. Continue until the IMA charge gauge no longer shows charging.
Does the IPU module fan run?
YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Replace the IPU module fan.
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
5. Turn the battery module switch OFF.
6. Remove the IPU lid.
7. Disconnect the MCM connector E (22P).





8. Measure voltage between MCM connector terminals E3 and E13, E4 and E13, E12 and E13 individually.
Is the voltage between 1 and 4 V?
YES - Update the MCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good MCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good MCM, replace the original MCM.
NO - Replace the battery module.
