P0562

DTC P0562 (15): MCM Power Source Circuit Unexpected Voltage
1. Reset the MCM.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Is DTC P0562 indicated?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the No. 9 BACKUP(10A) fuse and at the MCM.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Turn the battery module switch OFF.
5. Remove the IPU lid.
6. Disconnect MCM connector A (31P).





7. Measure voltage between body ground and MCM connector terminal A8.
Is there battery voltage?
YES - Update the MCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good MCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good MCM, replace the original MCM.
NO - Go to step 7.
8. Inspect the No. 9 BACKUP (10A) fuse in the underhood fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK?
YES - Repair open in the wire between the No. 9 BACK UP (10A) fuse and MCM (A8).A
NO - Repair short in the wire between the No. 9 BACKUP(10A) fuse and MCM (A8). Also replace the No. 9 BACKUP (10A) fuse.
