No. 2 One - Way Clutch and Rear Planetary Gear

DISASSEMBLE





1. Check operation of one-way clutch, by holding the outer race and turn the hub. The hub should turn freely counterclockwise and should lock clockwise.
2. Remove No. 2 planetary carrier thrust washer from both sides of carrier.
3. One-way clutch by removing the hub and the planetary gear from the one-way clutch.
4. Snap ring on both sides and two side retainers.
5. One-way clutch from outer race.

ASSEMBLE





1. Install the one-way clutch into the outer race facing the flanged side of one-way clutch inward from the shiny side of outer race.
2. Retainers and two snap rings.





3. Planetary gear into the one-way clutch, facing the inner race of planetary gear inward from the back side of the outer race.
4. Check operation of one-way clutch.
5. No. 2 planetary carrier thrust washers onto both sides of carrier.
6. Coat the thrust washers with petroleum jelly and align the tab of the washers with the hollow of the carrier.
