DTC 52
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When there is a frontal crash of sufficient magnitude to set a DTC 51, the DERM stores the accident information in the electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM). DTC 52 is set when the EEPROM has stored four DTC 51 settings.
TEST CONDITIONS
Tested every 100 milliseconds during the "Continuous Monitoring Tests."
FAILURE CONDITIONS
DTC 52 will set when the EEPROM area reserved for accident data, in the DERM, is detected as full during the "Continuous Monitoring Tests."
ACTION TAKEN
The "INFL REST" indicator is illuminated during all future ignition cycles.
CONDITIONS TO CLEAR
DTC 52 cannot be cleared; the DERM must be replaced.
