Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud - 4.6L (3V)

















1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly and the ACL outlet tube. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.

2. Remove the ACL pipe from the cooling fan and shroud stud bolt.

3. Detach the lower degas bottle hose from the cooling fan and shroud retaining clip.

4. Remove the 2 bolts and position aside the degas bottle.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

5. Disconnect the cooling fan motor and shroud electrical connector.

6. Remove the bolt, stud bolt and the cooling fan motor and shroud.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
