Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when the high beams are selected, the multifunction switch provides a ground signal to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1394 (WH/RD). Ground for the multifunction switch is provided by the SJB through circuit 1396 (VT/WH). The SJB then provides ground to the headlamp high beam relay through circuit 1708 (LG/BK). The bussed electrical center (BEC) provides voltage to the relay coil and switch. When the relay is energized, voltage is provided to the headlamp high beams through circuits (RH) 1335 (YE/WH) and (LH) 1337 (VT/YE).

Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 1396 (VT/WH), 1708 (LG/BK), 1335 (YE/WH), 1337 (VT/YE) or 1394 (WH/RD)
- A short to voltage in circuit 1708 (LG/BK)
- Multifunction switch
- High beam relay
- Bussed electrical center (BEC)
- Smart junction box (SJB)
