Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when the brake pedal is applied, the stoplamp switch sends a voltage signal to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 511 (LG).

The SJB then sends voltage to the stoplamps through circuit:
- Rear lamp 1 (LH) circuit 1783 (RD/WH) or 1363 (WH/RD) and (RH) circuit 1783 (RD/WH) or 1365 (GY/LB)
- Rear lamp 2 (LH) circuit 1783 (RD/WH) or 1728 (LB/OG) and (RH) circuit 1783 (RD/WH)
- High mount stoplamp circuit 1374 (TN/LB)

Possible Causes
- A short to voltage in circuit 511 (LG), 1363 (WH/RD), 1365 (GY/LB), 1728 (LB/OG), 1783 (RD/WH) or 1374 (TN/LB)
- Stoplamp switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
