Test J1:

Test J2-J3:

Test J4-J5:

Normal Operation
The steering wheel audio control consists of a specific resistor value for each button function creating a voltage divider. When a button is pressed, a specific reference voltage is sent to the audio unit. The audio unit then uses this reference voltage to determine which control input function has been selected. Circuit 8-MD26 (WH/BK) is the reference voltage circuit between the steering wheel audio controls and the audio unit.

Possible Causes
- steering wheel audio controls
- audio unit
- horn switch
- clockspring
- circuit 8-MD26 (WH/BK) open or short to ground
- circuit 64S-LK1(BU) open or short to ground
- circuit 31S-PG24 (BK/OG) open or short to ground
