Condenser Fan: Testing and Inspection

A/C CONDENSER COOLING FAN




1. Key OFF.
2. Disconnect A/C condenser cooling fan C108.
3. Apply 12 volts to terminal 3 on the A/C condenser cooling fan.
4. Ground terminal 2 on the A/C condenser cooling fan.
5. The A/C condenser cooling fan should operate at low speed.
6. Apply 12 volts to the terminal 1 on the A/C condenser cooling fan.
7. Ground terminal 2 on the A/C condenser cooling fan.
8. The A/C condenser cooling fan should operate at high speed.
9. If the A/C condenser cooling fan operates properly at both speeds, then return to the Pinpoint Tests. Pinpoint Tests
10. If the A/C condenser cooling fan does not operate properly, replace the A/C condenser cooling fan.
