E Motor and Motor Relay
E1- Check 60A ABS Fuse- Check the 60A ABS fuse located in the engine compartment power distribution panel.
- Is the fuse OK?
YES - Go to E4.
NO - Go to E2.
E2- Check For Short To Ground In Hydraulic Motor Power Circuit
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Remove the 60A ABS fuse.
- Remove the cover from the hydraulic control unit.
- Disconnect the 16 pin connector C140 located at the hydraulic control unit.
Note: Circuit 601 changes color from LB/PK to R as it passes through the harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of circuit 601 (R) between the 60A ABS fuse terminal and ground.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
YES - Go to E3.
NO - Service circuit 601 (R) between the engine compartment fuse panel and the hydraulic control unit for a short to ground.
E3- Check Power To Hydraulic Control Unit
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Disconnect the hydraulic control unit connector.
Note: Circuit 601 changes color from LB/PK to R as it passes through the harness connector.
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN", but do not start.
- Measure the voltage on circuit 601 (R) at the hydraulic control assembly connector.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
YES - Go to E4.
NO - Service circuit 601 (R) between the engine compartment fuse panel and the hydraulic control unit for an open.
E4- Check Hydraulic actuator assembly ground
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Measure the resistance of the BK wire between the screw terminal on the RH side of the hydraulic control unit and ground.
- Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES - Replace the anti-lock brake control module.
NO - Service the BK wire for an open.
