PINPOINT TEST P: INTERMITTENT VEHICLE MODULE DATA LINK SIGNAL-DIAGNOSTIC ERROR CODES 115 AND 125 SIMULTANEOUSLY

P1 CHECK POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DIAGNOSTICS

- Perform Diagnostic Routines for Powertrain Control Module. Refer to Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection. Testing and Inspection

- Are all the powertrain components functioning properly?

- Yes
Go to P2.

- No
Service or replace as indicated.

P2 CHECK CONTINUITY OF VEHICLE DATA LINK WIRES

- Check Circuits 914 (T/O) and 915 (PK/LB) for an open circuit between the EATC control module and the powertrain control module.

- Are either or both circuits open?

- Yes
Service as necessary. Go to P1.

- No
Go to P3.

P3 CHECK CIRCUITS FOR AN INTERMITTENT OPEN

- Check Circuits 914 (T/O) and 915 (PK/LB) for an intermittent open circuit by wiggling each wire at each connector while checking for continuity.

- Does an intermittent open condition exist?

- Yes
Service as necessary. Go to P1.

- No
Check each harness electrical connector for a tight connection; then perform Pinpoint Test A.
