E: CONTROL ASSEMBLY/VFD DOES NOT LIGHT UP - BLOWER MOTOR OFF

PINPOINT TEST E: CONTROL ASSEMBLY/VACUUM FLUORESCENT DISPLAY DOES NOT LIGHT UP - HEATER BLOWER MOTOR OFF

E1 CHECK ILLUMINATION SUPPLY TO EATC MODULE

- Turn headlamp switch to the PARK LAMP or HEADLAMP position.
- Rotate headlamp dimmer sensor control to full-on without turning the dome lamp on.
- Partially remove EATC module as outlined.
- Using a test lamp, check Circuit 19 (LB/R) for voltage.

- Did test lamp illuminate?

- Yes
Go to E2.

- No
Service circuit 19 (LB/R) for open circuit. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

E2 CHECK EATC SYSTEM GROUND

- Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to Pin 24, Circuit 57 (BK) at EATC module connector.
- Measure resistance.

- Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

- Yes
Replace EATC module. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

- No
Service circuit 57 (BK) for open circuit. Restore vehicle. Retest system.
