EVAP 11 - Check VMV Electro-Mechanical Operation

Vapor Management Valve:

^ Key OFF.

^ Reconnect VMV.

^ Apply 53 kPa (16 in Hg) of vacuum to the VMV solenoid (fuel vapor port to intake manifold) with a vacuum pump.

^ Key ON, engine OFF.

^ Turn the outputs ON and enter output state DTM. Refer to Quick Test

^ Observe the vacuum reading.

^ Release vacuum applied by the pump.

^ Key OFF.

^ Did the vacuum reading on the pump drop (air passes freely)?

YES -- Exit output state DTM. Remove the vacuum pump. Go to EVAP 12. EVAP 12 - Check VMV Housing For Leaks

NO -- Exit output state DTM. Replace the VMV assembly. Remove the vacuum pump. Rerun quick test.
