JA9 - Check CKP- Circuit For Short to Ground - Bias Low Fault

- Key Off.

- Disconnect ICM from ICM tee, leave EI diagnostic harness connected to vehicle harness connector.

- DVOM on 20K ohm scale.

- Measure resistance between J48 (CKP-I) and J7 (B-) at breakout box.

- Is resistance greater than 10K ohms?

YES -- REPLACE ICM. CKP shorted low. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- CHECK connectors, SERVICE or REPLACE harness. CKP- is shorted low. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
