A5 - Check Air Bag Warning Indicator Grounding Circuit

^ Disconnect the battery ground cable.

^ Disconnect the white instrument cluster connector.

^ Disconnect the gray air bag diagnostic monitor connector.

^ Measure the resistance of circuit 942A (GN/O) between the white instrument cluster connector and ground.

^ Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

YES -- Replace the air bag warning indicator miniature bulb. Reconnect the system. Verify the system. Reactivate the system.

NO -- Locate and service open in circuit(s) 942A, 942B, and/or 55A. Reconnect the system. Verify the system. Reactivate the system.
