Evaporator Case: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain coolant from radiator, then remove charcoal canister from vehicle.
3. Discharge refrigerant from system.
4. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core. Plug heater core tubes or blow any coolant from the heater core with low pressure air.
5. Disconnect Air Conditioning (A/C) lines from evaporator and plug ends to prevent dirt and moisture from entering system.
6. Remove Instrument Panel. Refer to Instrument Panel: Service and Repair.
7. Disconnect electrical connector from [1][2]A/C relays at top of case, then remove air duct bands.
8. Remove drain hose, then evaporator case attaching nuts and remove evaporator case from the vehicle.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
