Intake Manifold - Removal






INTAKE MANIFOLD






NOTE: Care must be taken to protect the intake manifold powder coating from scrapes and abrasions.

1. Perform the fuel system pressure release procedure, before attempting any repairs.Service and Repair.
2. Open trunk lid. Remove battery cover. Disconnect negative battery cable (1).





3. Remove air cleaner housing (1)Air Cleaner Body - Removal.






CAUTION: Prior to removing the harness from the throttle body, cut the wire retainer (1) to prevent throttle body damage.

4. Disconnect electronic throttle body electrical connectors.





5. Disconnect PCV hose (5) from intake.
6. Remove brake booster hose (2).
7. Disconnect fuel line (1).
8. Disconnect purge solenoid vacuum line.
9. Disconnect MAP sensor electrical connector.




10. Remove the intake manifold bolts and intake manifold.
11. Cover the intake manifold openings with a suitable cover when servicing to prevent any debris from entering cylinder heads.
