NOTE: Perform a Visual Inspection Before Proceeding1. Connect the DRB to the data link connector. Turn the ignition switch on. If the DRB screen is blank perform Vehicle Communication TEST 1A.
2. With the DRB, select "System Monitors", "CCD Bus Test".
a. If the DRB displays "BUS OPERATIONAL" continue to step B. If the ORB displays any other message perform Vehicle Communication TEST 1A.
b. The following is a list of systems that are diagnosable via the data link connector using the DRB. Problems within these systems may occur separately or in various combinations. When diagnosing a system with many apparent problems, a certain sequence of tests may be required. The beginning of each test will indicate whether another test should be performed first. Make the required repairs, and verify that the problems or group of problems has been corrected.
The Viper Coupe uses an "Entry Module" that encompasses the vehicle theft system, remote keyless entry system, electric locks and controls power unlatching of the doors. For any problem related to these subsystems choose the Entry Module TEST 1A. 1A Identifying Entry Module System Problems
