Fault Message
- Too Little or Too Much Sec Air

Background
- The PCM monitors the secondary air system for proper operation.
- The PCM monitors for secondary air flow in the exhaust system upstream of the catalytic converter.

Range of Check
- approx. 11 minutes after starting the engine
- Engine: idle after warming up the engine (704 r/min or more)

Set Condition
- Although the mixture is enriched for up to 18 seconds (approx. 10% enrichment), it does not cause the Downstream HO2S to switch to Rich (At this time, pulsed secondary air injection solenoid remains off.)
- Although the pulsed secondary air injection solenoid turns on for 19 seconds, it does not cause the Downstream HO2S to switch to Lean. (At this time, the mixture remains rich.)

Probable Cause
- Pulsed secondary air injection valve failed
- Pulsed secondary air injection solenoid failed
- Pulsed secondary air injection tube clogged
- Wiring harness and connectors failed
- Vacuum hoses failed
