Rear License Plate Pocket Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the liftgate lock cylinder. Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the license plate pocket wiring harness retainers from the liftgate.
5. Disconnect the main license plate pocket electrical connector.
6. Remove the nuts retaining the license plate pocket to the liftgate.
7. Remove the license plate pocket from the liftgate.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the license plate pocket to the liftgate.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the nuts retaining the license plate pocket to the liftgate.

Tighten the license plate pocket nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Connect the main license plate pocket electrical connector.
4. Install the license plate pocket wiring harness retainers to the liftgate.
5. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
