Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the intake manifold cover, if necessary. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube from the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
4. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body.
5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner housing and throttle body.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner housing and throttle body.
2. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

3. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the MAF/IAT sensor.

Tighten the clamps to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Connect the PCV fresh air tube to the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
5. Install the intake manifold cover, if necessary. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
