Window Tip-In Adjustment - Door

Adjustment Procedure





1. Position the window fully up.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair




4. Loosen the jack screw jam nut (1).
5. Adjust tip in with the jack screw (2).


Important: One turn of the screw equals approximately 1 mm (0.04 in) change at the top of the window.


* Turn the jack screw clockwise to tip the window outward.
* Turn the jack screw counterclockwise to tip the window inward.


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Tighten the jack screw jam nut (1).

Tighten the jack screw jam nut to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

7. Raise the window and inspect the alignment. Repeat the procedure as necessary.




8. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair
9. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (Service and Repair) .
10. Close the door.
