Trim Plate Replacement - Console Upper

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper (Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper) .
2. Remove the gearshift knob. Refer to Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement.
3. Remove the gearshift lever bezel. Refer to Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement (Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement) .
4. Fold the left and right seats forward.




5. Remove the 2 upper console screws.
6. Remove the screw retaining the console trim to the console base located by the shift bezel lever.




7. Remove the parking brake handle bezel.




8. Open the storage bin cover and remove the 2 screws.




9. Using a clean glove, grab the forward edge of the console trim and pull upward to release the retaining tabs.




10. Remove the console trim from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Turn the console lock to the LOCK position.




2. Install the console trim to the console base.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the screw retaining the console trim to the console base by the shift bezel lever.

Tighten the screw to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

4. Install the 2 upper console retaining screws.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).





5. Install the 2 screws inside the storage bin area and close the lid.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).





6. Install the parking brake handle bezel.
7. Put the left and right seat backs to an upright position.
8. Install the shift lever bezel. Refer to Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement (Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement) .
9. Install the gearshift knob. Refer to Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement.
10. Install the rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper (Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper) .
