VALVE ROCKER ARM COVER REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the coil harness.
3. Remove the ignition coils from the valve rocker arm cover. Ignition Coil(s) Replacement (Ignition Coils and Bracket)
4. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve (2) and the hose (1) from the left valve rocker arm cover.
5. Remove the valve rocker arm cover from the engine.

6. Clean and inspect the valve rocker arm cover. Service and Repair

Installation Procedure





1. Install the valve rocker arm cover to the engine.

2. Install the PCV valve (2) and the hose (1) to the left valve rocker arm cover.
3. Install the ignition coils to the valve rocker arm cover. 4. Connect the negative battery cable.
