Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Service and Repair

Crankcase Ventilation System
An engine can be damaged if operated without a crankcase ventilation valve. Therefore, it is important to perform the Functional Check at intervals shown in maintenance schedule of the vehicle. Refer to Crankcase Ventilation System Diagnosis or Crankcase Ventilation System Functional Test. Testing and Inspection

^ Replace the crankcase ventilation components as the diagnosis requires.
^ Periodically, inspect the hoses and clamps. Replace any showing signs of deterioration.
