Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Front Auxiliary

Removal Procedure





1. With the door open, remove the front auxiliary sealing strip retainers (2, 3).
2. Remove the taped portion of the sealing strip from the top of the door pillar.
Use a isopropyl alcohol dampened cloth in order to remove the old tape residue from the door pillar.
3. Remove the sealing strip by pulling it away from the flange.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the front auxiliary sealing strip on to the front door edge.
2. Install the middle retainer (2).
3. Working upward from the center, engage the sealing strip into the flange.
Ensure that the sealing strip is tucked under the reveal molding.
4. Peel the release liner (1) from the tape and apply pressure at the sealing strip to adhere the tape patch to the door pillar.
5. Working downward from the center, engage the sealing strip into the flange.
6. Install the lower retainer (3), securing both the front and lower sealing strips.
