Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Removal Procedure




1. Remove front assist handle. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement (Assist Handle Replacement) in Interior Trim.
2. Use J 38778 to release the clips (2) that retain the windshield garnish molding to the pillar.
3. Remove the windshield garnish molding (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the windshield garnish moldings (1).
Verify that the clips are fully seated to the windshield garnish molding before reinstalling.
2. Install the front assist handle. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement (Assist Handle Replacement) in Interior Trim.
