Front Side Door Upper Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Roll the window down.
3. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
4. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
5. Remove the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door (SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door).
6. Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
7. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
8. Remove front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
9. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip).
10. Remove the front door window lower channel. Refer to Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door (Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door).
11. Remove the front door window regulator/motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
12. Remove the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Front Side Door Window Replacement).




13. Remove the upper sealing strip from the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the upper sealing strip to the door.
2. Install the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Front Side Door Window Replacement).
3. Install the front door window regulator/motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the front door window lower channel. Refer to Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door (Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door).
5. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip).
6. Install front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
7. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
8. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
9. Install the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door (SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door).
10. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
11. Install front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
12. Roll window up.
13. Enable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
