Hood Adjustment

FORE AND AFT ADJUSTMENT

Hood Adjustment- Fore And Aft Adjustment:




1. Loosen the lower hood hinge bolts. Oversized holes allow fore and aft adjustment of the hood.
2. Tighten the lower hood hinge bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

UP AND DOWN ADJUSTMENT

Hood Adjustment- Up And Down Adjustment:




1. Loosen the adjustment link bolts (2) on the lower hinge (1).
2. Adjust the hood as necessary.
3. Tighten the adjustment link bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

Hood Adjustment- Up And Down Adjustment:




4. Adjust the front hood bumpers (1) to that the hood is flush with the fenders.
5. Adjust the hood latch as necessary.

Hood Adjustment- Up And Down Adjustment:




6. After the hood adjustment is performed, sufficient load must remain on the front and rear hood bumpers to eliminate hood flutter. This can be achieved by lowering the hood latch an additional 1/8 inch, for front flutter, and raising the rear bumper (1) for rear flutter.
