Chart 3 Courtesy Lamps Do Not Light

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the unlock button on the transmitter is pressed, the RCDLR(TDM grounds CKT 157 to activate courtesy lamps by pulling the illuminated entry circuit "Low" at the CCM. If the internal CCM timer reaches 30 seconds or the ignition switch is turned to "RUN," the CCM removes the ground to the courtesy lamps. The CCM senses voltage from the I/P Fuse #18 when the ignition switch is turned to "RUN" to reset the CCM internal timer.

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

1. Check for a false ignition "ON" signal to CKT 441.
2. Check CKT 157, illuminated entry circuit to the RCDLR/TDM.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the Central Control Module (CCM). If DTC 22, 23, 24, or 25 is set, repair this fault first. If courtesy lamps never operate, refer to Lighting and Horns / Interior Lights.
