Chart 1 Theft Deterrent System Inoperative

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Battery voltage is applied to the RCDLR/TDM at all times through the I/P concealed fuse. The RCDLR/TDM is grounded at all times.

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

1. Isolate a power door lock system fault or a RKE/TD system fault.
2. Check for battery voltage at the RCDLR/TDM connector.
3. Check for ground at the RCDLR/TDM connector.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Program a known good transmitter and test the RKE/TD system. If the RKE/TD system operates normally, the original transmitter was defective. If the RKE/TD system is still inoperative, replace the RCDLR/TDM. If a known good transmitter will not program, refer to Chart-8. Chart 8 Remote Receiver/Theft Deter Transmitter Won't Program
