E: Oil Pressure Switch Test

1. Check oil level and oil pressure with a mechanical gage.

^ If oil level and oil pressure are OK, go to step 2.

^ If oil level and oil pressure are not OK, see Engine for diagnosis.

2. Disconnect Oil Pressure Switch. With Ignition Switch in RUN, observe STOP ENGINE OIL Indicator.

^ If the STOP ENGINE OIL Indicator is out, replace the Oil Pressure Switch.

^ If the STOP ENGINE OIL Indicator is still on, check TAN (31) wire and the FLEX CKT (31) for short to ground (see schematic). If the (31) circuit is OK, replace the Instrument Panel Cluster.
