ECM/MEM-CAL Functional Check

ECM/MEM-CAL FUNCTIONAL CHECK

1. Turn ignition on

2. Enter diagnostics. Accessing and Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes

A. Code E52 should appear.

B. If the diagnostic message "No ECM Data" appears on the display, the MEM-CAL is not fully seated or is defective.

^ If it is not fully seated, press firmly on the ends of the MEM-CAL and make sure the retaining clips have locked.

^ If it is necessary to remove the MEM-CAL, follow the appropriate procedures.
