Service Vehicle Soon Lamp Circuit:

DESCRIPTION:

The Service Vehicle Soon telltale bulb is powered by ignoiition-1 through the gauges fuse #16 in fuse block. The BCM grounds CKT 499 to illuminate the bulb is conditions for setting BCM code F32 or PCM/ECM codes E16, E19, E20, E90, or E91 are present. These codes are described under trouble code charts. The BCM also grounds CKT 499 to illuminate the telltale at key up for a 2 second bulb check.

NOTES ON FAULT TREE:

1. Grounding the BCM terminal A2 completes the circuit for the Service Vehicle Soon (S.V.S.) telltale. If the S.V.S. telltale turns "ON" when A2 is shorted to ground then the circuit is OK and the problem is at the BCM.

2. Checks CKT 39 and gauges fuse.

3. Checks for an open in CKT 499 or a fault at the IPC.
