CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) provides 5 volts on CKT 448 to Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal "B". Grounding terminal "B" pulls the 5 volts low. With the key "ON" engine "OFF," most outputs will be enabled. With the engine running, the field service mode is enabled.

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

1. There should be 5 volts present at DLC terminal "B".
2. This checks the continuity of CKT 448 from the DLC to the PCM connector.
