9K-5 Courtesy Lamps Do Not Turn "On" With Unlock Function

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

When the unlock button on the transmitter is pressed, the RCDLR grounds CKT 1393 to activate courtesy lamp relay and start an internal timer. If the internal timer reaches 30 seconds or the ignition switch is turned to "RUN," the RCDLR removes the ground on CKT 1393. The RCDLR senses voltage from I/P fuse 13 on CKT 639 when the ignition switch is turned to "RUN" to reset the internal timer.

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

1. Check for a false ignition "ON" signal to the RCDLR.

2. Check CKT 1393, courtesy lamp relay circuit, to the RCDLR.
