Test DD "Traction Off" Indicator Test

DD: "TRACTION OFF" Indicator Test:

ABS/TCS:

OPERATION:
^ When the ignition is first turned to "RUN", the EBTCM goes through a self-test. During this test, the EBTCM grounds both the ANTILOCK and "TRACTION OFF" indicators for approximately 2 to 4 seconds. This acts as a bulb test for the indicators.
^ A Traction OFF switch which is part of the Twilight Sentinel/Panel Dim Control Assembly allows the driver to select the traction control mode (ON/OFF). When the traction control system is turned OFF, the "TRACTION OFF" indicator remains illuminated.
^ The "TRACTION OFF" indicator will not function if an open exists in CKT 1572 or a faulty EBTCM.
^ The "TRACTION OFF" indicator will stay illuminated with no DTC(S) set if a short to ground is present in CKTs 1571, 1572 or a faulty Dim/Twilight/Traction OFF Switch Assembly or a faulty EBTCM.

IMPORTANT: When the vehicle is equipped with traction control, any symptom which lights the "ANTILOCK" indicator also lights the "TRACTION OFF" indicator. Therefore, when both indicators are lit, follow "ANTILOCK" indicator diagnosis when no diagnostic trouble codes are set.
